Orange County, California: 17 Arrested After Protests Outside of Donald Trump Rally Turn Violent

People demonstrated outside of The Pacific Amphitheatre, where Trump held a rally Thursday night. Protesters stomped on cars and hurled rocks at motorists, police say.

We can't thank the law enforcement agencies throughout OC enough for their partnership providing public safety services before, during, and after the Trump rally last night in Costa Mesa. With their assistance, what could have been a large scale event resulted in no major injuries and approximately 17 arrests by Costa Mesa PD.

CMPD would like to thank the OC Sheriff's Department and all the allied law enforcement agencies throughout the county who came to assist us last night during a frightful turn of events that spilled onto our Costa Mesa streets outside the OC Fairgrounds. Multiple arrests were made. Thankfully, no officers were injured.
